Saving lives one pet at a time!

  • Tuukka's New Family

    • Tuukka and big brother Bruin at the beach

    • Look at those eyes!

As regular clients of Mt. Washington Valley Pet Sitters, we dropped our dog off for boarding on a Friday night and had the pleasure of meeting Teaka, a puppy who was being fostered there. Teaka was an adorable puppy from West Virginia with a rough start to life that broke our human hearts but not Teaka’s canine heart.  She was an intelligent, confident, happy go lucky, adorable puppy who had us the minute she laid eyes on us. Within hours of that first meeting, we contacted Michelle and asked how we could adopt Teaka. Two weeks later, we brought Teaka home and renamed her Tuukka. Tuukka has been a wonderful addition to our family. She gets along great with our dog Bruin even though there are times when the feeling is not mutual--usually when she is torturing him with her puppy energy! Her happy spirit and curiosity for everything in the world around her has brought us much joy. We absolutely love her and feel blessed to have her as a family member. Thank you MWV Pet Sitters for fostering Tuukka and bringing her into our lives.

  • Mossy                                                           Mossy's New Parents

    • Mossy

      Arrived 11/1/2009 - Adopted 11/12/2009

    • Mossy visits the new dog park at CAHS everyday.

Dwight & Diane McLellan are the proud new parents of Mossy!

After the McLellan's lost their "Taylor" 12 years ago, they could not bring themselves to have another pet.  When Diane saw Mossy's photo in the Conway Daily Sun she knew it was time.  After meeting "Mossy", the McLellan's immediately completed their application for adoption.  They made a trip to the pet store in preparation for Mossy's arrival.  On November 20, 2009, Mossy arrived at her new "forever home".  We will miss her, but know that she will have a wonderful life with the McLellan's.

In Diana's own words, Mossy has changed their lives.  "Since we have adopted Mossy, she has changed our lives completely.  We can sleep better now, we don't stress out as much as we used to do, she has brought the family closer together with her presence.  She is full of loves and kisses, and is so full of life.  Since we've adopted Mossy, we've felt a healing of the loss of our "taylor", who had to be put down at the golden age of 20.  Taylor for many, many years was a part of our family.  I just wished that we had adopted a dog right after we had Taylor put down, as I think it would have helped us to emotionally accept his death.  We do believe that by having a family pet, that it will increase our years of living."

  • Marcy                                                                Marcy's New Parents

    • Marcy found her new forever home just in time for Christmas!

    • Mr. & Mrs. James Clemons of Bartlett

Mr. & Mrs. Clemons started to think about adopting a puppy in the summertime. Their search began looking for a small dog. Marcy stayed with the Clemon's for a few days to get to know one another.  Everything we great and Mr. & Mrs. Clemons were ready to adopt Marcy.  The Clemons never thought they would have adopted a 110 lb. gentle giant.  Marcy and Mrs Clemons can be seen every morning on their daily walk.  Its like they've been one big happly family for years!
